Why the Luxembourg market can be interesting for cross-border sellers
The Luxembourg used-car market has its own structure: high vehicle density (around 698 cars per 1,000 inhabitants, one of the highest in the EU), high average income, strong demand for leasing returns and premium mid-range, large cross-border population with high annual mileage.
This does not automatically apply to every vehicle. A 12-year-old compact with 180,000 km will be valued similarly in Luxembourg and in the home country. But a 5-year-old Audi Q5 TDI with full service history and S-Line trim can achieve a better price on the Luxembourg market.
Our recommendation: get a firm offer from mirkaafenaerenauto.lu and compare it net with the best offer in your home country. Then decide.
The process in seven steps
1. Contact us with vehicle data and photos.
2. We provide a first price range and arrange an appointment in Bertrange or Roost, or organise pickup.
3. On-site inspection.
4. Firm offer. The price after inspection is the final price after agreement.
5. Purchase contract in your language.
6. Payment by SEPA bank transfer, usually on the same working day.
7. De-registration in the home country, handled by us via power of attorney.
